"maximum penalties of six weeks imprisonment, a $2250 fine and three months disqualification from driving". I think that "(d) All of the above" would be entirely suitable. Punishments are meant to have a deterrent value, and sure as hell spending six weeks inside as well as losing $2250 (plus court costs) ought to make scroats like this think twice.
Ought to, that is. If they're stupid enough to drink that much and then try to drive, they're probably much too stupid to give a fuck about the consequences. Termination is too good for them
