No, our actions have had nothing to do with the current state of affairs. Our incessant harping about personnel issues and actions that are undergoing criminal investigation is completely blameless. We are innocent, y'ronner, it's all Uncle Helen's fault.

plankAmusing, as I've had two, TWO, capable friends turned down for the police force, simply because they want to stay in Hamilton. If they enlisted in auckland, they'd be snapped up in a second (Of course, they have to stay there for at least two years before asking to be transferred) - but apparently we've got enough staff already here in the Waikato.

If they're going to complain about a lack of numbers, they should make sure that they're making it as attractive as possible for experienced officers to transfer to the problem areas while they continue to recruit wherever they can.
